Buckhorn to Bobcaygeon, Ontario

We departed Buckhornat 11:00AM as we could not arrive at our next destination, Bobcaygeon (Gordon Yacht Harbour) until 1:00PM.   Check in time!  It is only 16 miles and no locks.

We have had trouble with decent internet the last several days.  Even my Rogers aircard has been weak hence the delays in our blog postings.

We traveled in several large lakes in overcast skies which was a contrast to the string of sunny warm days we have had.

After leaving the lake we entered the cut for Bobcaygeon we saw beautiful cottages lining the waterway.

After we docked we walked into town.  Eddie put on his walking shoes in spite of Bryce "helping" him with his socks.
We keep a sharp eye on the charts as rocks lie just outside the channel.
I tried out a watertoy that was on display today in town, too old for this one though.  I remember towing the tube for Aynsley 20 years ago!
People were all decked out for Canada Day July 1.
A concert is planned for tonight at the nearby park.
We even saw a great parade with floats, bagpipes and bands.
After the parade we visited the nearby Kawartha Ice Cream factory store.  Note Barb and Ed standing in  line.  Popular place.  I tried Chocolate Peanut butter and Kodiak Island fudge flavors, yum, yum.

Island Hopper is secure to her dock in Bobcaygeon.
