Croton on Hudson

We departed Liberty Landing in NJ and headed up the Hudson, 37 miles to Croton on Hudson. My cousin Liz accompanied us and again was our tour guide.  She took a train back from Croton, to Grand Central, walked to Penn Station and then boarded another train to Morristown, NJ about a 3 hour journey.

Traffic was light in the morning except for the ferries.  We passed a garbage barge being towed down river near the GW Bridge.  No, Ohio won't accept it!
Another shot of the GW Bridge.
We found a small lighthouse under the bridge.
My cousin Robert lived in this building on the Hudson in Yonkers when he landed his first job after Wharton, at Nestle in White Plains.  I remember visiting him here in the late 70s,  I still hear and feel those constant trains passing underneath.
The Tappan Zee bridge further north on the Hudson.
The Admiral has prepared the lines as we approach the marina at Croton, Half Moon Bay Marina.   Check the link, it is all hype!   LINK
Nice sunset over the Hudson from the marina.
