Island Hopper departed the dock at 9:00 AM. She then powered over to the fuel dock to fill up for the voyage. Weather is cloudy with a chance of rain. Temperatures in the 80s. Winds predicted 10 - 15 with a forecasted from coming our way. The clouds make the cruise comfortable.
The journey is 60 miles to Coral Ridge Yacht Club, Ft. Lauderdale. There were two bridges that opened on a timed schedule. The first, West Venetian Causeway Bridge opened at 11:00 AM. The second bridge needed to open for Island Hopper is Broad Causeway.

A wave-capped, 20 mile shoreline with wide ribbons of golden sand and beachcombing and sunbathing remains the anchor draw for Fort Lauderdale and Broward County.
Today's cruise was slow going due to the bridges and the many manatee zones. Island Hopper arrived at Coral Ridge Yacht Club around 2:30 PM.

The crew had dinner in the "Wheel Room" at the Yacht Club. After dinner they were invited into the Commodore Lounge to hear Roy Michaels of the Brooklyn Bridge. He was a fabulous performer and the club members were very welcoming to the crew.
