Killarney Day Two

Killarney was a nice stop.  First order of business was a stop at Herbert's fish and chip shop that operates from a school bus.  The fish are offloaded along side and voila fresh fish sandwiches.  The bus is permanent, not a food truck.  As I have said, nothing but the best for Debbie.

We hiked to the lighthouse at the entrance to Killarney Channel.
We asked a local to take our picture, I felt like a Japanese tourist.
We then set off for a boat trip!  Since Barb and Ed were leaving the next day we returned to Killarney in the late afternoon after Visiting Baie Fine, a fjord like finger nearby.  Here is a camp at the entrance to it.

It was a beautiful day for another boat ride!!!!!!!!!  One must watch out for rocks as there are few navigational marks en route.

We anchored Island Hopper at the head of the bay in 15 feet of water near many rocks.  Mud bottom so the anchor held.  Great lunch stop.  We did not enter the narrows for the last two miles, depth issues and weed growth.
We did launch our dinghy to take Bryce to shore and to explore.  We used the new Torqeedo Electric outboard, it worked well.  Here Ed and Barb try it out.
We returned to Killarney in time for docktails.  The kayakers were out in force.
We grilled on board and after a great meal and wine we witnessed a wonderful sunset on the channel.  What a way to send off Ed and Barb after a great trip.  It was a 13 hour drive to Cincinnati it turned out.
